Revision as of 18:23, 16 September 2007
The European Baseball Championship is the main championship tournament between national baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confédération Européenne de Baseball (CEB). It is held every other year in odd-numbered years. The competition has been dominated by teams from the Netherlands and Italy, with 16 consecutive finals being played between these two nations from 1969 to 1999. In 2007 the winner qualified directly for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Numbers 2 and 3 will proceed to the final qualifying tournament in Taiwan.
