Änis Ben-Hatira (born July 18, 1988) in Berlin is a German footballer of Tunisian descent currently playing for German club Hamburger SV.

Career

Ben-Hatira started his fooball career playing for his local club in Reinickendorf before moving to TeBe Berlin, where he spent most of his youth. Following a spell at Hertha Berlin, he was signed by Hamburger SV.

Ben-Hatira made his Bundesliga debut on February 24, 2007 against Eintracht Frankfurt, coming on for Mehdi Mahdavikia. He made his first Bundesliga start against Wolfsburg on April 1, 2007. Hamburg have recently extended his contract until 2012.
