Sun Media Corporation is the owner of several widely read Canadian tabloid newspapers. It is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media.

At present, Sun Media is largely absent from the Vancouver, British Columbia newspaper market, aside from the minor 24 Hours paper (which is co-published with the Jim Pattison Group); establishing a Sun newspaper there has proven difficult due to the existence of both the broadsheet Vancouver Sun and the tabloid Vancouver Province, both of which are owned by CanWest Global. In the mid-1990s Sun Media attempted to establish itself in Vancouver by publishing a daily sports newspaper there, but the experiment was not a success.
