No Man's Woman is a compilation tribute to female musicians, created by Australian male musicians performing various covers, to recognise the contributions female artists and musicians have made to the international music industry. It was released in Australia on 20 October 2007,[1] and was first introduced to radio on 17 September of the same year.[2]

The album was developed out of a desire by fans to hear Australian rock group You Am I perform a cover of a Patti Smith song. While the group did not end up playing the on the compilation, they were the basis for all that would follow.[2]
