Gavvalu: One of the typical sweets made in Coastal Parts of [[Andhra Pradesh]],it is a mixture([[dough]]) of rice flour and water/milk.The prepared dough is shaped to small rounds and flattened after which they are rolled (on a special tool)so as to take the shape of gavvalu([[cowrie shell]]) ,these shells are fried in oil/[[ghee]] and kept a side for some time.Further these shells are poured in to Sugar/Jaggery syrup.
