"Party People"
Song

"Party People" is a song by American rapper Nelly, featuring American pop/R&B singer Fergie. It is recorded for Nelly's fifth studio album, Brass Knuckles, and also appears on the deluxe edition of Fergie's debut album, The Dutchess. The track is produced by Polow da Don, and was released as the lead single from the album.

Song information

The song was originally intended for Fergie's debut album, The Dutchess (the Deluxe Edition on which it will now appear), and featured Miami-based rapper Trina. In yet another (see Love in This Club) example of Polow da Don releasing tracks or beats before they were intended, he played the track for Nelly who immediately decided that he wanted to use the beat.[1]

Since charting in the UK at number 38 in April 2008, the song has continuously climbed the chart and has so far peaked at number 14, which is disappointing according his previous hits that have reached the top five.

The video was shot in Los Angeles, California and directed by Marc Webb.[2] Polow da Don and Keri Hilson make cameos in the video.

The video premiered on MTV on April 14, 2008.[citation needed]
