Simdesk was a Software as a Service provider of on demand messaging and collaboration tools for business. Early in the company's history it sold to municipal authorities. The company began to commercially offer Simdesk direct to small business in March of 2006. There were several Simdesk resellers including [1] KDDI in Japan.

On May 1 2008 Simdesk ceased operations, including termination of retail hosted services for SMB and individual customers in the US and Latin America. Externally hosted services based on Simdesk's platform license will remain in place. Future direction has not been announced.
