Biography
Adams was born in New Jersey and raised in New York City. Adams comes from a background of mixed heritage, comprised of Black, White and Cherokee Indian. She was raised from birth by her aunts, who were both former models. At the age of 16, her aunts encouraged her to start a career in modeling as well.
Upon graduating college at the age of 20, Adams started applying her dual degree in business management and marketing towards her proceeds from modeling to become an avid financial investor in Fortune 500 companies. Eventually, Adams also became the first centerfold to become a LGBT spokesmodel[2] in the LGBT community.
The New York Post named her one of the "50 most eligible babes in NY" in 1998[3] and The Village Voice named her "Best NYC lesbian sex symbol" in 2004, in addition to gracing their cover as well as other LGBT magazine covers and advertisements.[4]
On November 20 2003, Adams, along with 10 other Playmates, made a cameo appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman[5] and announced one of the "Top 10 Perks of Being a Playboy Playmate"Cite error: The <ref>
tag has too many names (see the help page). to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of Playboy magazine.[6]
A few years later, on September 23 2006, Adams announced a $5 million dollar lawsuit[7] against a NYC taxicab driver, the NYPD, and the city of New York after an incident on May 25, 2006. The driver was fined and had his license revoked by the New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission.[8] A complaint accusing the police of assault was made at the Civilian Complaint Review Board[9] and filed in state Supreme Court.[10]
Adams founded a new-age company named Goddessy on October 31 1999, a name she created by combining the words "goddess" and "odyssey". Goddessy eventually became the title of a series of astrology, new age, spiritual and metaphysical books and calendars written by Adams from 2003 to the present. Aside from continuing her renowned achievements, Adams now dedicates a great deal of her time towards developing as much as a private life as she can possibly have.
