Resurrection

Daredevil performed a ritual over her body that was intended to purge the evil from her soul, and her body subsequently disappeared.

Hmm, it's been years since I last read this, but isn't this almost completely wrong?

The way I remember it, Hand stole the body of Electra to revive her using liveforces of several Hand members. Daredevil intervened and himself tried to revive her, to no avail. However, Daredevil's attempt purified Elektra's soul, and she was later brought to life.

That's correct; it happened in Daredevil #190. I've updated the article.

Resurrection notes

The Hand stole her body, the Widow, some of the Kingpin's men, and Stone interrupted the ceremony. DD purified her as noted. Stone seems to have resurrected her (it was implied that he gave his life to do so, but such was not the case as shown during Fall from Grace); the end of DD I#190 shows her climbing a mountain in a white version of her usual costume.

Troubling is the recent Hand series, which showed the Hand resurrecting Elektra. It may have been intended to represent her return in DD I#190-but does not fit in, since the Hand's ceremony does not get inerrupted. The resurrection in that series seems to fit in with Millar's Wolverine run.

Elektra

The movie,s Okay But its Short For one Hour. She,s Hot!!!!!! Though.I give it a A- AuniBorregoAbel

Ressurection

DD attempted to revive Elektra but had seemingly failed, when stone from the hand attempted to bring her to life he found she was already revived, her skin was pale and her soul had been seemingly purified. (Neostinker 17:12, 30 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Merge

From the size alone, it is easy to see that the Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra article is a footnote and should merged into those characters' articles.--Chris Griswold 04:09, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

Discussion

Each limited/series should have its own page. But a good argument to be made is for Ultimate Elektra (limited series) to be merged with Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra. --Jamdav86 12:37, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How is that different? --Chris Griswold 17:42, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ultimate Daredevil & Elektra - miniseries. Ultimate Elektra - miniseries. Elektra Natchios - character. Different pages, different types of page. We do not have Trial of a Time Lord merged into Doctor (Doctor Who), so we do not have stories merged into character articles. The two miniseries, however, could be considered as 2 parts of the same story, and thus a case can be made particuarly due to the stub length of the articles. --Jamdav86 13:52, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Limited series should not have articles based solely on the fact that they are limited series. The information in this article could be contained in sections in the characters' articles (i.e. "Ultimate Elektra first appeared in the Marvel Comics limited series Ultimate Daredevil & Elektra..."). I see no need for a separate article. --Newt ΨΦ 16:03, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Imagine this scenario: someone's trolling through some message boards, let's say Newsarama. He sees a poster reference a miniseries. He goes to Wikipedia to look it up. He has a right to find info on the page for the series he is looking at, not just have to mmake do with a one-line mention in a character's article. --Jamdav86 17:06, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No one is saying it will be a one line reference. However, it is not Wikipedia's place to give a detailed plot summary either. These pages could be turned into redirects to the specific character's article with relevant information about the limited series. IIRC, Ultimate Elektra and Ultimate Daredevil have only appeared in two comics outside of these miniseries (Ultimate Spiderman and Ultimate X-Men respectively), most of the info about their Ultimate continuity selves will be these limited series anyway. --Newt ΨΦ 18:50, 24 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the story will still be represented, and the current entry will re-direct to the appropriate place so that a reader can still find what he's looking for. --Chris Griswold 06:46, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The issue on the merge isn't going to be decided here - what is the broader policy on the Ultimate editions? There are entries for various other Ultimate stories (including things like Ultimate Nightmare covering the Ultimate Galactus Trilogy) and if that seems to be policy then I'd suggest Ultimate Elektra and Ultimate Daredevil and Elektra be kept separate from each other and this entry. At the moment Ultimate D & E are up for being merged into both the Daredevil and Elektra entries and Ultimate Elektra is up for being merged into Ultimate D & E - the main solution to the potential mess (does it go in this entry or that entry?) would be to leave them all independent and link through to them - the world isn't going to end if they aren't all jammed in together and it seems the neatest solution. The mian arguement for merging is really an arguement to expand the existing entries so slap some tags in there asking for more information. (Emperor 14:10, 11 August 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Mangaverse Version

I'd have to check again to be sure, but didn't it imply that she was under the effects of the Mandarin's mind-control ring when she killed Daredevil, and that's why she was thankful when Carol Danvers killed her? --69.7.175.223 10:14, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hugo Pratt

Hello, This is not very important, but, comic book creator Hugo Pratt once said that his character Jesuit_Joe was the cousin of Miller's and Sienkewicz's Elektra. It was said in the book l'autre côté de Corto, but I'm afraid there's no translations of this books. It was also stated in the "Corto Maltese Magazine" (not comic) of 1988, I don't know which one and theses are hard to find. On the other hand, Miller named the island of "Dark Night Return's" "the corto maltese", after Hugo Pratt's character. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.250.140.180 (talkcontribs) 17:28, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:NA Elektra.jpg

Image:NA Elektra.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Powers and Abilities Section

Can someone with greater knowledge of the character please tidy up the Powers and Abilities section ? It has very little in the way of references and seems to be a lot of one fan's original research. Hermiod (talk) 06:32, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replacement by Skrulls

I have removed the following text from the article:

Electra was replaced by a Skrull imposter named Siri prior to the events of Wolverine: Enemy of the State, and Wolverine: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. It is implied that she is still alive, likely a Skrull prisoner.[1]

Outside of the incorrect spelling of her name, and the dead link... the information is incomplete and incorrect. Elektra's ONLY and EXACT statement in New Avenegrs #40 is:

"My name on Earth is Elektra Natchios. I have been on Earth for the last cycle. I have had communication and interaction with S.H.I.E.L.D. commander Nick Fury, a man code-named Daredevil, the mutant Wolverine, and members of the assassin consortium known as the Hand. My identity was not detected. My full report will be available to you at the Queen's discretion."

It is at this point she is asked to explain why the identity of Elektra Natchios is/was well-suited for this assignment. To which she replies:

"Her entire persona is wrapped in mystery. She is known to the powers of Earth, but no one knows her intimately. She has actually expired from the mortal plane and been brought back to life."

They then go on to discuss how easy it is to pose as a superhuman who's frequently returned from the dead (as many of them have).

My point is, nowhere is it implied that she's alive. That's jumping to conclusions. They mention that she's been dead and brought back to life, which is true, but they don't state it as a present fact, just a fact in general. Jean Grey is a good example of this she's been "dead and brought back to life" in the past, but that doesn't mean she's alive right now.

In fact, given this statement: I have had communication and interaction with S.H.I.E.L.D. commander Nick Fury, a man code-named Daredevil, the mutant Wolverine, and members of the assassin consortium known as the Hand.; they're suggesting that the Elektra in the Elektra ongoing, Bendis's Daredevil run, Wolverine: Enemy of the State/Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and New Avengers was in fact an imposter all along and that the real Elektra is still dead. However, though that may be the more logical conclusion, it's still us jumping to conclusions and cannot be cited as fact.

As such I recommend the original statement which I have removed be left out of the article, and that in its place Skrull Elektra/Siri's statement should take its place. --Venomaru 2.0 (talk) 20:56, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
