The augmented seventh chord is a seventh chord consisting of an augmented triad with a minor seventh. Thus it consists of a root, major third, augmented fifth, and the minor seventh[1]. It may be notated with the chord symbols C+7 or Caug7[1].

Augmented seventh chord may refer to the Hendrix chord[2], which contains an augmented ninth but not an augmented fifth.
