He was a key player during the second test at MCG, scoring two overs (3 points each) in quick succession early in the last quarter displying his impressive marking ability. He added a goal (6 points) in the final minute giving Australia faint hope of snatching a win. However, it was not enough, Ireland winning the series by 5 points (on aggregate).
