You suggested that Sullenberger will ''"be forgotten in a few weeks"?

Personally, I am highly skeptical that Sullenberger will be forgotten in a few weeks. I predict, at a minimum, he will be invited to be one of the experts that news agencies call upon for comment in future air disasters or near-disasters. I predict that he will be given industry awards, and other non-industry awards. I predict his consulting business will experience a shot-in-the-arm -- which, given his lifetime of preparation, it deserves. I predict, if he wishes, he can have lucrative gigs booked for him as an inspirational speaker, or after-dinner speaker. I knew someone famous enough to get a couple of after-dinner speaking gigs a year, generally for organizations like the Knights of Columbus in mid-sized cities in flyover country. There are a surprising number of this kind of gig. And Sullenberger would not be on the first rung of this circuit as my friend was, but could probably earn a comfortable income accepting a gig once or twice a month.

Will you accept a friendly challenge? February 6th -- can we agree that this is "a few weeks". How many web searches that turn up his name do you require -- post February 6th -- before you would agree he had not been "forgotten"?
