Gennaro Annese (Naples, 1604-Naples, June 20 th 1648) was an Italian Revolutionary.
Gennaro Annese was a Neapolitan gunsmith, known for his/her ability in to manufacture arquebuses, man from the ways dispatches, bossy but also generous that happened to the guide of the city to the capopopolo Masaniello, only a pò chatted for some falsifications of coins. To the head of the Neapolitan insurrection against the Spanish government of 1647 was had to manage in a game of alliances and overturn of forehead among the powers that then considered Italy an earth of conquests: Spain and France.
He died in Naples.
