Sandbridge Beach is the southern part of the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. Its shape is similar to that of the North Carolina Outer Banks, with Back Bay to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Located at the very end of the beach is the city park, Little Island, which has the Sandbridge Pier and is a great place to go surfing. The length of the beach is about 4.5 miles (7.2 kilometres). The Sandbridge Market also a well-known feature of the area.
There are no hotels at this beach, but houses and condos may be rented, and the area is a well-frequented tourist spot. The beach is occasionally prone to tropical storms.
