Diauxie is an outcome of growing as fast as possible

I have changed the words on this page to replace the idea that bacteria prefer to grow the sugar which they can grow on "efficiently" to the new idea (25 years old) that came out of my doctoral research that bacteria prefer to grow on the sugar which will support the fastest growth rate. Similarly I have changed the words on yeast growth to reflect a similar faster growth theme. This being my first edit on wikipedia, I want to make sure I am not offending any previous authors on this page. So if you disagree with my interpretation or words on diauxie, we can discuss them here.--Kompala (talk) 20:23, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good graphic, better with axes labeled.

The graphic provides an excellent illustration of the concept but, as with all graphs, it would be better with labeled axes. 205.214.48.251 (talk) 13:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
