West Side is a district of Jersey City and the name of the avenue that runs through much it which begins in the Marion Section and ends at Danforth Avenue. The district's ambiguous borders are generally considered to be west of Kennedy Boulevard south of Journal Square and could include parts of Lincoln Park/West Bergen and Greenville, and, on the other side of NJ-440, the Hackensack Riverfront and Society Hill.

The Avenue is one of the the city's main shopping streets.[1]

Lincoln Park and 'West Bergen are neighborhoods on the West Side of Jersey City [2][3]. West Bergen refers to its location to the Bergen-Lafayette Section, which in the 19th century was part of Bergen Township. South of Saint Peter's College West Side Avenue creates a principal comercial corridor.

Lincoln Park, one of the largest county parks in Hudson , includes recreational facilities (tennis, track, athletic fields, golf range, biking, running) and picnicking areas. Pedestrian overpasses provide safe access over Truck 1-9 from the older, more urban eastarn section of the park to the more natural west section on the Hackensack River. Mallory Avenue runs south from the park.

New Jersey Transit bus routes #1, #80, #87 serve the district, as does A&C Bus Corporation.
