Mountain's Edge is a master planned community in unincorporated Enterprise, Nevada, United States. The United States Postal Service has assigned “Las Vegas, NV” as the place name for ZIP codes and Address containing Mountain's Edge.Ground broke on the community in February 2004[citation needed] and has a 10 years projected build out of over 12,000 units on 35,000 acres (14,000 ha). Parks
Exploration Peak, formerly Fossil Mountain, is part the area's first mountain park,[citation needed] trails were constructed that lead up to the top of 2,846 ft (867 m) Exploration Peak. Exploration Peak is part of Exploration Park and is one of five parks plan for this community. Mountain’s Edge Master home Association has a partnership with Clark County at Exploration Peak Park which includes a Water park, Children’s Play Area, Horseshoes, Volleyball and walking trails.The Sub Home Associations within the Community have Parks, Pools, Club Houses.[citation needed]
Schools
Mountain's Edge, Nevada master plan for schools when it builds out will have four elementary schools, two middle schools, and a high school.[citation needed] Currently Wright Elementary School (2006) and Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School (2008) are open. These schools are part of the Clark County School District. High school students residing in Mountain's Edge are zoned to attend Desert Oasis High School.
Economy
Cimarron Square was a $17 million boutique neighborhood shopping center development. The project was completed by the first quarter of 2008 and tenants to move in March 2008 and has nearly 40,000 square feet of retail space. Tenants include Inaka Sushi, Papa John's Pizza, Nevada State Bank, Star Brite Cleaners, Java Detour, Nail Trix Salon, subway, and Pacific Dental Services.This is the first retail area to directly serve the Mountain's Edge community.
Builders
Mountain Edge will have total of 20 homebuilders that will include DR Horton, Concordia, US Home, Toll Bros, Lennar, Beazer, Woodside, KB Home, Pardee and Meritage/Perma-Built.
Current projects
- The first 25 acres of the regional park and Paiute Park are scheduled to begin construction in 2008.
- Completion of the Paseos began in March.[when?]
- Future Fire Station #66 is out to bid and will take a year to complete. The crew of this fire station is already trained and currently housed at station #34 on Durango & Russell.[citation needed]
