My understanding is that HMS Drake (HMS Vivid before 1932) is specifically the RN Barracks at Keyham, adjascent to the dockyard site[1]. Should this be made clear in the article? Alansplodge (talk) 16:03, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Guz - nickname for HMNB Devonport
Paragraph 2 of this article states that Guz, the nickname for Devonport, comes from "...an obsolete unit of length used in parts of Asia...." which in part seems to have been lifted directly from the Wiki article Guz and, indeed, links to it. However, the citation for the paragraph merely states that Guz is the nickname and offers no explanation as to its origin [1].
I wasn't very happy with that because it was entirely not my understanding of the origin of the nickname. There is a reliable source - a Royal Naval Museum web page [2] - which both supports my belief that the origin is the less exotic "Guzzle", and confirms that it is a nickname for the place, so I've made that change, removed the link to the [Guz] measurement and cited the RN museum as the source.JH49S (talk) 11:49, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
