:I think this is going to be hard, because as far as I know, Stone Town isn't a formal entity from a census or administrative point of view. It's like saying "downtown something". Zanzibari even use "Stone Town" in a more restrictive way, i.e., I heard a waitress in a restaurant in Forodhani told me about a twin restaurant being located "in the Stone Town", as if Forodhani wasn't Stone Town. In practice, I think this article should emphasize Stone Town as a heritage site and cultural entity rather than a demographic or geographic entity. I am tempted to move climate data, as well as any population data, to [[Zanzibar City]], where they would be more in context. Can Sombody give some population figures? --MrFarenhiet 03:05, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is going to be hard, because as far as I know, Stone Town isn't a formal entity from a census or administrative point of view. I am tempted to move climate data, as well as any population data, to Zanzibar City, where they would be more in context. Moongateclimber (talk) 13:39, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
