The Shanker Hotel is a heritage hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal. It is located in Lazimpat, next to the historic Narayanhiti Royal Palace Museum. This was formerly a neo-classical Rana palace made by Agni Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana, the then prime minister of Nepal. The hotel was opened in 1964 and is undergoing a complete refurbishment.
According to legend, Nepal's Late Queen Aishwarya was also born in this palace.
The Shanker Hotel is now a reputed address in Kathmandu, Nepal. Online booking was started for tourists since 2004.[1]
