Kit Premier League Division I

Division I is the second level division of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka. 12 or 14 teams are represent this division from two groups. Top team of both groups of this division is promoted to Kit Premier League while last team of both groups is degraded to Sri Lanka Football Division II.

League Structure

Structure of this league has changed in year basis most of times since this tournament is sponsored by various sponsors in year basis. Dialog Telekom (2008/2009, 2007/2008, 2006/2007, ...), CEAT tires (2009/2010), Unique apparels (2010/2011) are some sponsors of the tournament. Number of participating teams are 12 in 2008/2009 and 2009/2010. Only 8 teams have been participated in 2006/2007. 2010/2011 tournament consist of 14 teams. Top two teams are promoted to premier division while last two teams are degraded to lower division (division II).
