This articles needs much more of a NPOV. Both the Michigan and Santa Barbara findings have been contested, and in fact some of the Michigan findings have actually been repudiated by that University. The AAA's critique was much more balanced. It's not at all accurate to say that "most" of the charges against Chagnon were "debunked". In fact, most of the charges against Chagnon were neither confirmed nor denied by the AAA (which, I reitirate, is the most credible authority as regards this matter), and are supported by many if not most indigenous peoples' rights groups and South American anthropologists. |
