Glassford ([1] ) is a small village located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) south of Hamilton, and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north-east of Strathaven, in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It has a population of roughly 500-600 people.[citation needed] Features include the 19th-century Parish Church, and the remains of the 17th-century old church, both of which are category B listed buildings.[2][3] The Avon Water offers fishing and walks. Local businesses include the Glassford Inn and Steyban Restaurant. The local No.13 bus service comes through the village twice every hour, travelling between East Kilbride and Hamilton. The Glessert, or G town is run by a vicious warlord named Voldo Smuntz who along with his mercy-less gang of drunken bandit thugs keep the village under their complete control, and will fight ruthlessly to hold on to their stronghold which they believe to be key to defending South Lanarkshire from the vile swine known as the English.
