Noemi

Noemi (born Veronica Scopelliti; January 25, 1982 in Rome) is an Italian singer.

Biography

Noemi is the eldest daughter of Armando and Stefania; she has only one sister Arianna. At 19 months she records an advert/commercial for Pampers.[1] In 2007 Noemi took part in SanremoLab but she wasn't among the finalists.[2]

X Factor 2

On autumn 2008, Noemi passed the audition for the second season of X Factor.[3] She is one of four singers Over 25 capitain of Morgan. She was eliminated in the 12th episode. She participated in the recording of two compilation discs of the programme: X Factor Anteprima Compilation 2009[4] with song Albachiara (cover of Vasco Rossi) and X Factor Finale Compilation 2009[5] with song La costruzione di un amore (cover of Ivano Fossati, also interpreted by Mia Martini).

Post X Factor: Briciole and the First EP

At the semi-final of X Factor, Noemi presented her new single, Briciole.[3][6] The single was released on April 10 and reached number two[7] in the Federation of the Italian Music Industry (FIMI) chart; the single thus obtaining a gold disc and it's a summer hit 2009. On April 24 Sony Music produced her first EP, Noemi.[3][6] The EP has sold over 50,000 copies,[8] thus obtaining a gold disc.

From May 15, 2009 to August 29, 2009, Noemi went on tour to promote the Noemi EP on various stages throughout Italy.

On June 21, 2009 she performed at the concert "Amiche per l’Abruzzo", organized by Laura Pausini, at the San Siro stadium in Milan.[9] On August 19 she performed at Concerto per Viareggio organized by Zucchero[10]

First album: Sulla mia pelle

Noemi and Fiorella Mannoia

On October 2, 2009 Noemi's first album was released: Sulla mia pelle.[6] First single was released from the album: L'amore si odia,[6] this song is a duet with Fiorella Mannoia; the single obtaining a platinum disc.

From October 23, 2009 to January 16, 2010, Noemi went on tour to promote the Sulla mia pelle album on various stages throughout Italy.

On February 19, 2010 was released the republication: Sulla mia pelle (Deluxe Edition). The album has sold over 135,000 copies,[8] thus obtaing two platinum disc.

From April 15, 2010 to October 2, 2010, Noemi went on tour to promote the Sulla mia pelle (Deluxe Edition) album on various stages throughout Italy and Slovenia.

Sanremo Music Festival 2010: Per tutta la vita and post Sanremo with Vertigini

Noemi participated as a contestant, in the category "Artists", in sixtieth edition of the Sanremo Music Festival with the song Per tutta la vita.[11] The single obtaining a platinum disc.

On May 7, 2010 was released new single: Vertigini; for some problems between radio and recordings, the single was re-released on May 14.[12]

On May 24, 2010 Noemi, in Verona Arena, got three Wind Music Awards for sales of songs L'amore si odia and Per tutta la vita and of album Sulla mia pelle.

Vuoto a perdere

On January was released new single Vuoto a perdere wrote by Vasco Rossi and Gaetano Curreri.
