Caroline Hawley (born 1967, Nigeria) is a British journalist who has been a Special Correspondent for the BBC News channel since 2007.[1]
Educated at Oxford University, where she read Arabic and Farsi (Persian), Hawley began her career in journalism on Newsweek as the magazine's Jerusalem correspondent from 1991 to 1994.[1] While the BBC's Baghdad correspondent, she was expelled from Iraq in 2002, but returned to the country after Saddam Hussein was removed from power the following year.
