Spencer Smith was born in Denver, Colorado to Ginger and Jeff Smith. He is the oldest of two twin sisters. Spencer and his parents lived in Denver until Spencer was 3, and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Spencer met childhood friend and ex-band mate [[Ryan Ross]]. When Smith was 12, he received his first drum set, and collaborated with Ross, who had received his first guitar. Ross and Smith mostly covered [[Blink-182]] songs with Ross on vocals. Their two-piece band was originally called Pet Salamander. They teamed up with Brent Wilson and another boy named Trevor on guitar to make "Summer League" before they met [[Brendon Urie]] and formed Panic! At The Disco. Since the formation, [[Panic! at the Disco]] has released 3 studio albums. [[A Fever You Can't Sweat Out]] was released in 2005 with Wilson, Urie, Ross, and Smith. Following their first album, [[Brent Wilson]] left the band and was replaced by [[Jon Walker]] formerly of [[The Academy Is...]]. With Walker in the band, [[Panic! At The Disco]] released their sophomore album [[Pretty. Odd.]] in 2008. In 2009, band members Ross and Walker left the band because of musical differences and formed [[The Young Veins]], leaving [[Panic! At The Disco]] to Urie and Smith. In 2011, [[Panic! At The Disco]] released their third album, [[Vices & Virtues]] with help from Dallon Weekes of [[The Brobecks]] and [[Ian Crawford]] formerly of [[The Cab]].

Spencer Smith

Spencer James Smith (born September 2, 1987 in Denver, Colorado) is an American musician and drummer of Panic! at the Disco alongside lead singer, Brendon Urie.

Early musical beginnings

Spencer Smith was born in Denver, Colorado to Ginger and Jeff Smith. He is the oldest of two twin sisters. Spencer and his parents lived in Denver until Spencer was 3, and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where Spencer met childhood friend and ex-band mate Ryan Ross. When Smith was 12, he received his first drum set, and collaborated with Ross, who had received his first guitar. Ross and Smith mostly covered Blink-182 songs with Ross on vocals. Their two-piece band was originally called Pet Salamander. They teamed up with Brent Wilson and another boy named Trevor on guitar to make "Summer League" before they met Brendon Urie and formed Panic! At The Disco. He left high school and finished via the internet in order to focus his full attention on the band.[1]
