The Olympisch Stadion or Kielstadion[1] was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. For those games, it hosted the athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, and weightlifting events.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] It is currently used as the home ground of K.F.C. Germinal Beerschot, a Belgian football club.

It is possible that Archibald Leitch was involved in the design of the stadium having made several visits prior to the Games.[11]
