Tiësto was one of the good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Why no mention of Dennis Waakop Reijers-Fraaij in the article?
Maybe I missed it but - Why is there no word of him? He clearly came out (as well as Tiesto) and admitted he is/was behind Tiesto's success from 1997-today, meaning he composed his music for him.
http://www.hifi.nl/artikel/1939/De_muziekbeleving_van..._Dennis_Waakop_Reijers.html
(English translation from Dutch)
Tiësto
"My first serious remixes I made the late nineties, when Tiësto came into the scene. I learned to know him around the summer of 1998. We knew each other yet, but a friend of mine who worked in a music case had tipped me to Tijs. They asked me as a test if I have a remix request for him could do. He was already known, the end of'97 had already been on Inner City and in'98 he was a headliner. I stood by the test fairly quickly and then we are fairly intensive work together. " -- Dennis Waakop Reijers
'The Band'
"In 2001 we Tiësto first album together produced. We are working since then with two on the production and compositions. Behind them is still a small group that takes care of all the surrounding issues. But with just two, we are responsible for the numbers. Tiësto called us' The Band '. In my contract states that I have for others or myself can do things, but in practice I can not stand. Furthermore, we are a strong team together, that the sin is not to use the combined forces. " -- Dennis Waakop Reijers
"Most people know me. I am totally unknown, except in the production world of course...I find it really nice in the shadow of Tiësto States. I am left alone and can do without me someone will ask for a signature. Of course, sometimes I get called fanmail, or requests from other artists." -- Dennis Waakop Reijers
Now even Tiesto admits this during an interview:
As you’re always on the road, are you creating your own track edits?
"Definitely. In the last year, I’ve been on the road mostly on the weekends, mostly in Europe. And then the rest of the week I’m in the studio. I’ve been working with a producer for seven years, [including on] the last album. His name is Dennis Waakop-Reijers. We work great together as a team. He couldn’t make the music without me and I couldn’t make the music without him." -- Tiësto

What is his childhood nickname?
The article says "now known simply as "Tiësto", an alias which is a twist on his childhood nickname" but the reference does not state what the nickname is. I can see some similarity between Tijs and Tiësto, though. In doubt, I would remove the reference and replace it with a 'needs reference'. --Elecnix (talk) 17:53, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
- I found the source that originally sourced the information, but still could not find out an exact nickname. ASOTMKX (talk) 01:36, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Broken links
This article has a lot of broken links. I've tried to fix some of them but this is harder than for most articles, I think because some of the sites referenced are under construction/discontinued. If the broken links can't be replaced with other references, we'll have to delist as a good article, Tom B (talk) 23:19, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Nyana
This album is only mentioned after the fact, with no mention of it during the actual time of release. This should be updated. MXVN (talk) 10:57, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
GA Reassessment
- This discussion is transcluded from Talk:Tiësto/GA3. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the reassessment.
The main criteria it fails is sourcing/verfiability. Currently has a lot of broken links, i noted this on talk page a little while ago - have tried to fix but more difficult than normal as the sites originally used seem to be discontinued. Article also has style tag. Tom B (talk) 16:33, 7 March 2010 (UTC)
- This article has a number of issues as noted above. Specifically as listed below. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 23:29, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Minor typo
The section relating to Tiësto's current era of music development (correctly Kaleidoscope) is spelled wrong, lacking a D. As minor as that is, it's noticeable. I wouldn't waste space on the talk page if it wasn't protected. Please fix this, and thanks for your time. Aexis Rai (talk) 22:07, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi all, I will be reviewing this article against the GA criteria. So revert back to me if you do not understand something about the review. — Legolas (talk2me) 12:24, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but I do have to fail this article for the huge amount of unsourced content, unreliable sources, recentism littered content and voerall, a structural incoherent that is present. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:36, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
Not to mention the MoS issues for reference formatting. I suggest a strong Peer review of the article because this is not close to GA at all. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:36, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

Why musician?
Why is this person classified as a musician? As far as I can tell, he plays no musical instruments. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.28.125.242 (talk) 18:48, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas (2011) is not studio album!
