You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Richard Lee (activist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --SquidSK (1MClog) 20:23, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Richard Lee (activist)

I brought the article back, but placed it in AfD, which can be found here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Richard Lee (activist)

And I have closed the AfD as keep following the addition of some reliable sources that move it to speed keep. Thanks for the heads up. Hiberniantears (talk) 21:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Sociology Newsletter: II (April 2010)

Sociology ProjectNews • April 2010
Spreading the meme since August 2006

The Sociology WikiProject is conducting a roll call (or min-census, if you prefer). More then five years down the road, we have over 50 members, but we don't know how many of them are still active in the sociology area. If you are or want to become once again an active contributor to the sociology content on Wikipedia, please move your name from the inactive to the active list on our roll call (or add yourself to the list if you haven't joined yet!).

In other news, we have reactivated the newsletter :) At least, for this announcement. We also have a new, automated to do listing, an active tag and assess project (which has identified about 1,800 sociology articles on Wikipedia, and assessed about 1,3000 of them), and three new userboxes for your self-identification pleasure :) On a final note, I highly recommend watchlisting the Wikipedia:WikiProject Sociology page, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions.

You have received this newsletter because you are listed as a recipient of WikiProject Sociology Newsletter (Opt-out). • signed

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Satoshi Tajiri, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. かんぱい! Please read any reference that back up statements before accusing others of bias. The first reference states her cause of death was: "excessive water consumption ... exacerbated by the ecstasy causing her body to release anti-diuretic hormones". By stating her death was simply due to water intoxication when the reference states otherwise is vandalism. Furthermore the reference adds: "If Leah had taken the drug alone she might well have survived. If she had drunk the amount of water alone she would have survived." Since it was a combination of the two things that killed her I could use your same logic to argue that you are biased against water.

The Anna wood reference mentions nothing about water intoxication, by all means if you find a new reference that can be taken into consideration. You placed your new information in front of a reference which did not back up your claim, which again constitutes as vandalism. You should have put your quote after said reference, and the article has a disclaimer not to add any new information without valid references. Freikorp (talk) 06:46, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Crusaders for Patients' Rights

Please do not delete material from Wikipedia without explanation. CPR has gone on record in the media in opposition to CA prop. 19. It is noteworthy, and should return. Petergkeyes (talk) 00:29, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On the Legalization of Marijuana

I was just wondering, your recent comments on List of California ballot propositions was that Prop 19 didn't call for the full legalization of marijuana... what limits are placed on the Proposition?
Blindman shady 01:55, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I though saying "full" would be a little misleading to people not in the know, as Prop 19 places a 1 ounce limit on the amount you can possess. Yonskii (talk) 02:07, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, ok. :)

License tagging for File:Laika - Sounds of the Satellites.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Laika - Sounds of the Satellites.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Proposition 19

Good call on removing The San Diego Union-Tribune. I did not even read the article; I was simply working on formatting throughout the article. It will be interesting to see what happens in November. I need to encourage more activity at WikiProject Cannabis--there are so many interesting cannabis-related articles that need to be updated, upgraded, and eventually nominated for Good and Featured status. --Another Believer (Talk) 22:38, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Sociology membership

You are listed in the Category:Wikipedians interested in sociology, probably due to the use of "This user is interested in sociology" userbox, but you have not added yourself to our official member list for WikiProject Sociology. This prevents you from, among other things, receiving our sociology newsletter, as that member list acts as our newsletter mailing list (you can find the latest issue of our sociology newsletter here). If you'd like to receive the newsletter and help us figure out how many members we really have, please consider joining our WikiProject and adding yourself to our official member list. Is Pandeism a "religious" belief?

Well that's the problem, now, isn't it? I mean, it's surely not a "political" belief or an "aesthetic" belief, but it is some kind of belief, so I propose that if it is not "religious" by the fact of being about religion, then it is possibly a "theological" belief? Or a "spiritual" belief? I leave it to you to make the right call.... DeistCosmos (talk) 02:22, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Ugress-Collectronics-0500.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 23:02, 23 April 2011 (UTC). If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 23:02, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Lulzsec neutrality

I saw that you added a disputed neutrality tag to the LulzSec page. What are your concerns exactly? If you post them here or on the talk page, I am sure they can be handled quickly. Thanks. かんぱい! Scapler (talk) 15:53, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there. I saw that you tagged the article with {{db-person}}. I thought about that myself, and then decided not to. The article did try to show notability by mentioning his league teams, his all star picks, and his college games. A passing admin would turn down a CSD. They are quite strict about the wording of the criteria. I have tagged the article for WP:AfD. Please drop by and give your opinion at the deltion discussion. Thanks. Glenn Beck

Someone has requested an addition to the Glenn Beck article based on his recent comments involving Norway. While I'm a registered user, I'm very rusty (haven't edited in a few years), and need to learn again how to modify protected articles. I would appreciate your help.
