Peter Delane was a fictional television director, created by Rob Brydon, and featured in the series Director's Commentary.
This series took the format of Delane providing a commentary over episodes of programmes which he had directed - these being
- Bonanza
- Only When I Laugh
- The Bounder
- Flambards
- Mr and Mrs
Through the commentaries we learn of Delanes multiple failed marriages, troubled childhood, his Nazi father, and his periods of "dark, dark depression."
