Anypsipyla is a genus of snout moths. It was described by Dyar, in 1914, and contains the species A. univitella.[1] It is found in Central America (including Panama[2], Costa Rica and Guatemala), South America (Venezuela, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador) and has also been recorded from Cuba, Mexico[3], Jamaica[4] and the southern United States.[5]
The larvae feed on Samanea saman. They damage the seeds and and pods of their host plant.[6]
