Coccinella (due to latin „coccinella“, ladybird) is a free client for XMPP/Jabber-Instant-Messaging-protocol.
The software was made of Tcl/Tk and it runs with BSD, Linux, Mac OS X, Solaris, Windows and all other platforms with Tcl/Tk. Mats Bengtsson published it in 1999 named Whiteboard. It was renamed in 2003 to Coccinella
