Peter II of Russia, Emperor of Russia from (1727-1730)

Peter (Pyotr) II was the grandson of Pyotr I. He was the son of Alexis, Pyotr I's son through his first marriage.

He was still a teenager when he was elected Emperor. He died of smallpox in 1730. Whilst dying in bed, he had his wife pushed into bed with him in a last-ditch attempt to make her pregnant.
