Template:Infobox Amtrak The Adirondack is a passenger train operated daily by Amtrak between New York City and Montreal, Quebec. The trip takes approximately 10 hours through the scenic Hudson Valley and the Adirondack Mountains. The price of a one way ticket between New York City and Montreal is USD $62 (as of 2005), which makes it the cheapest (and the longest) travel option.
Route details
The tracks used were originally part of the New York Central Railroad and Delaware and Hudson Railroad systems. The following lines are used:
- Napierville Junction Railway (D&H), Montreal to Rouses Point
- New York and Canada Railroad (D&H), Rouses Point to Whitehall
- Saratoga and Whitehall Railroad (D&H), Whitehall to Saratoga Springs
- Saratoga and Schenectady Railroad (D&H), Saratoga Springs to Schenectady
- New York Central Railroad, Schenectady to Albany
- Hudson River Railroad (NYC), Albany to New York City

Station stops
The Adirondack runs as train 68 southbound and trains 69 (weekdays) and 71 (weekends) northbound. It makes the following station stops:
