- This talk page is archived every month (if I remember). The older pages are indexed at User talk:NawlinWiki/Archives.
Please sign your comments by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ).
Wondering why your pages were speedily deleted? Check this list first.
Do you want to move a page that I've move-protected? Discuss the move first on the article's talk page. If there's a consensus for the move, let me know and I'll unlock the page.
Please add all comments at the bottom of the page (or I may not be able to find them).
Regarding a page you deleted in my userspace
This one. I trust your judgment in deleting it (even if it was created legitimately I'd have deleted it under U1 anyway) but I'm curious as to what was on it. Would you be able to let me know, either here or via email if need be? Thanks! elektrikSHOOS (talk) 04:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- It was an ad from a spambot. NawlinWiki (talk) 11:06, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ah. Thanks! elektrikSHOOS (talk) 03:01, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
I'm surprised you deleted this. Certainly wasn't vandalism as your post seemed to suggest! It's an idiom, and in the UK, strongly associated with the Prince of Wales and his comments on architecture, and now widely used to refer to architecture of a certain type. In any case, did I create this article? What was it like? Can't see it any more. I did add something to the Carbuncle page.

- You are right, I was wrong. :) I've restored the redirect. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 21:51, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
Your block of 94.72.252.104
Hi. You blocked User:94.72.252.104 for three years as a proxy. They've submitted a UTRS ticket #3425 as say they are part of Derbyshire County Council. I've asked for a proxy check on WP:OPP and it doesn't appear to be an open proxy. Can I ask why you blocked it as a proxy? Thanks Secretlondon (talk) 22:27, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- The edit filter log shows that the IP was used by long-term abuser User:Tile join on 4/20/12. It may well not be a proxy (although Tile join typically uses those), but I am reluctant to unblock because of the use of the IP by a longterm vandal. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:38, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Not sure why this is move-protected to admin-only. I don't think I can see any previous move war or move vandalism? (talkback appreciated) Deryck C. 22:59, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- The page was vandalized by User:JarlaxleArtemis in February. I semiprotected it for a while, and I always moveprotect his targets because he has a long history of pagemove vandalism. NawlinWiki (talk) 01:22, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
Your deletion of "Minerva" misspelled "Minverva"
I understand why you deleted the listing because of the misspelling of the title but why didn't you just fix the misspelling instead of deleting the entire page? I worked very hard on getting everything organized, researched and cited... now it's all gone. Is there a way you can still send me the code so that I can work off of that? I cannot find a record of the coding anywhere.

- Because this really belongs as a paragraph in the article on Pierre Robert, not as a separate article. His car is not notable other than that it belongs to Mr. Robert. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:53, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
- The deleted copy is now in your userspace at User:DracoGTO/Minerva (car). NawlinWiki (talk) 21:54, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much for responding. The vehicle is essentially a character by herself and has a history as old as Pierre Robert. I will follow your direction if you think this entry really belongs in the Pierre Robert article. There are more stories about Minerva 1 and 2 but I only included ones that I could cite with verifiable sources. DracoGTO (talk) 02:20, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for the Troll-B-Gone
I was wondering when this kind of thing would start happening. --Jprg1966 (talk) 05:18, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Page Curation update
Hey all :). We've just deployed another set of features for Page Curation. They include flyouts from the icons in Special:NewPagesFeed, showing who reviewed an article and when, a listing of this in the "info" flyout, and a general re-jigging of the info flyout - we've also fixed the weird bug with page_titles_having_underscores_instead_of_spaces in messages sent to talkpages, and introduced CSD logging! As always, these features will need some work - but any feedback would be most welcome.
Falsely Assuming Bad Faith
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would ask that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
- Ya know, when you edit Barbara Bush to say that she is the "daughter of Alister [sic] Crowley", and you post a page called The Ancient Order of the Jewish Nazi Environmentalist Supreme worshipful royal goat illuminati reptillian muslaimc ray gun aliance, I think it's fair not to assume any good faith any more. - I have changed the content to remove any copyright issues and to justify a need for article. How can I republish?Bencinas (talk) 20:45, 13 September 2012 (UTC)Bencinas

Deleted?? Why?
15:24, 21 September 2012 NawlinWiki (talk | contribs) deleted page Dae Bryson (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject) You deleted this page and im a fan trying to create a wikipedia page of Dae Bryson, I interviewed him to get all the info I put on the wikipedia page, why did you delete the page?
- The article did not cite reliable independent sources (see WP:V) to show that Mr. Bryson meets our notability standards for musicians, see WP:BAND. Your own interview doesn't count as a reliable *independent* source. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:29, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Why Was This Deleted?
Sorry. The last post should have been under a new category. You deleted my page for Butz + Klug Architecture, saying it was unambiguously commercial. I'm guessing because it had links to the official website for the firm, but so does every other page for architecture firms. I'd like the page removed from the "Speedy Deletion" list and put back up in Wikipedia. I'd be happy to remove any "unambiguously commercial" material, but to delete it altogether seems a bit much. It is valuable information that falls under the category of "encyclopedic". Enjosh13 (talk)
- It wasn't just links. As I said on your talk page, the article was full of promotional language like "It's in the details...where beauty arises" and "The firm takes great pride in..." NawlinWiki (talk) 19:27, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
User:99.247.192.201
Can we just block this IP user forever - as seen here - his/her last block seems to have no affect on behavior.Moxy (talk) 18:17, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- We generally don't do indefinite IP blocks, but this one is blocked for 2 weeks and I will watch. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 19:27, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
