Cinema was a short-lived band started in 1982 by ex-Yes members Alan White (drums) and Chris Squire (bass), with South African guitarist Trevor Rabin. They had plans to release their debut album in 1983 and were working on a number of songs (most written by Rabin).

Eventually, these musicians were joined by Tony Kaye (keyboards) and Jon Anderson (vocals), both former Yes members. Soon after this, the band dropped the name "Cinema" and renamed itself "Yes."

For the further history of this band, see Yes.
