Beginning
Fox Star Studios has been made with a view of controlling the releases and productions of Hollywood movies in India or with Indian descent.
In 2008, Fox Star Studios announced its first major move in Indian cinema – a multiple–film deal with producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The deal includes the development and production of a visual effects–driven fantasy action movie and multiple contemporary romantic comedies and dramedy. The VFX in the films will be supported by a team of top visual effects directors from Hollywood and supervised by Fox's visual effects team.[3]

This deal includes the studio to produce and internationally distribute two Tamil films every year which will be directed only by A. R. Murugadoss. Fox Star Studios made its first Hinglish movie Quick Gun Murugun in August 2009, followed by My Name Is Khan after deal with Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.[5]

Beginning its venture in India with a huge success, Fox Star Studios has released many Hollywood blockbusters in India and has also produced films which have collaborated with Indian production companies, and have been released in International markets.
Recently entered into Malayalam film industry, with the distribution of the film, Second Show.
