History
- 1997___Ministry of Education invited KUB Malaysia Berhad to set-up Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR).
- 1998___Official launch by Y.A.B Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Minister of Education.
- 1999___Received establishment letter from the Ministry of Education.
- 2000___Received approval for registration from the Ministry of Education.
- 2001___Received MSC-Status recognition.
- 2002___Received the MSC-Status from Y.A.B Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Malaysia.
- 2003___Received ISO 9001 : 2000 Quality System Certification from SIRIM.
- 2007___UNITAR was acquired by Yayasan PINTAR from KUB Malaysia Berhad.
- 2010___Relocation of UNITAR Pintar Campus, Kelana Jaya to Leisure Commerce Square.
- 2011___The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) approved the re-naming of UNITAR Pintar Campus to University of Management and Technology (UMTECH).
- 2012___Ekuiti Nasional Berhad (Ekuinas) invested up to 90% stake in Unitar Capital Sdn. Bhd., the owner and operator of University of Management and Technology (UMTECH) together with private equity firm Shoraka Square Ltd (Shoraka) and other investors. YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the Ministry of Higher Education approved the renaming of University of Management and Technology (UMTECH) to UNITAR International University (UNITAR).
