Supriya Maskey (born, in Gorkha) is a Nepalese beauty queen. She was crowned as Little Miss World Nepal 2012 held at at Tribhuvan Army Officers’ Club in Kathmandu September 30, 2012 on Sunday.[1] She represented her country at Little Miss World and was crowned as Little Miss Teen World 2012 held on 6 October 2012 in Antalya, Turkey.[2]
Life and career
Biography
Supriya Maskey was born on 2002 in Janakpur, Nepal. She is from Kathmandu, Sorakhutte. She is currently living in New Delhi and she is currently studying at Little Angles School, Hattiban at grade 5.[3] Supriya wanted to participate in beauty pageants from the very small age she always told her parents that she will be miss nepal in future and she became and banned 5 paisa after winning Miss Nepal. Idolizing Anuradha Koirala, she wants to be involved in the field of social work in the future. Supriya likes shopping, getting together with family members, and traveling and most of chocolates. She believes the beauty contest is a platform to show one’s talent.Supriya is a huge sports enthusiast. Basketball is her favorite sports and she enjoys badminton and tennis as well.She is also fond of playing football and basketball.She also likes to dance but unfortunately she is not too good at dancing,so to improve her dancing she takes a class.
Little Miss World Nepal
Supriya Maskey is one of the 62 participants of Little Miss World Nepal 2012 contest held on 2012 September 30 at Tribhuvan Army Officers’ Club in Kathmandu on Sunday.[4] Supriya Maskey was crowned as Little Miss World Nepal 2012 winner. Though just 12-years-old, Supriya Maskey appeared to be very confident and poised.The crowned 2nd Little Miss World Nepal, appeared excited about her trip to Turkey for the Little Miss World event which was going to be held at Turkey on October 6, 2012.[1] She is a seventh grader of Little Angels’ School very talented and says that life has changed a lot for her post the win.[5]
Supriya Maskey,after her experiences in Little Miss World Nepal 2012 was sent to the international arena, where she represented Nepal in Little Miss World – 2012 that held on-6 October 2012 in Antalya, Turkey.[1] Supriya also won the titles ‘Little Miss World Talent 2nd Runner Up’ and ‘Little Miss World Best Dress Award- 2012’.[6]
Little Miss World
Supriya Maskey was placed as the Miss Teen World pageant held in Antalaya, Turkey on Saturday.[7] Supriya Maskey clinched the prestigious title in the 12th edition of Miss Teen World beauty contest held from 30 September to 6 October 2012.[8] Beating 27 participants, she became the second Nepali to win the title. Last year in the same contest, Biphaswi Poudel won the title of Little Miss World 2011. Supriya, a seventh grader at Little Angels School, had won the Little Miss World Nepal 2012 contest, organised by Nepalese Council in September.[8] The 12th edition of Little Miss World beauty contest was held in Antalya, Turkey on October 10, 2012. The title, Little Miss World 2012 was awarded to Sofia Kutsenko from Ukranine. Deependra Ratna Shakya, Executive Director of Nepalese Council and National Director of Little Miss World accompanied the Supriya in the contest.[5] Talented Supriya Maskey won the winning title in the senor category of Little Miss World beauty contest.[9] During the talent round, Supriya performed in a Nepali song, ‘Lali Guras Ajambari Champa Chameli’, and mesmerized the audience. “She always gives her full attention to her work at hand and this helped her win the international title,” claimed Deependra Ratna Shakya, National Director of Little Miss World Fashion Center. Supriya bagged 500 Euros along and the crown for herself along with other prizes at the pageant. This is the third international achievement for the Nepalese Council.[10]
