-Today, Urban Science suffers from employee dissatisfaction largely due to poor project management and lack of respect for employees' work/life balance. Most of the software developers have been with the company only a short time because the company cannot retain talent. As recently as 2011, 50% of their database and software developers left the company to seek employers who were better aligned with understanding and caring for a modern workforce. Today Urban Science is unable to retain experienced talent and runs on the efforts of over-worked junior associates fresh out of college. Employees are discouraged from questioning methodology and thinking for themselves. Indeed, any such behavior is met with immediate dismissal.
