NOFX is an EP by the American punk rock band NOFX, released August 2, 2011 through Fat Wreck Chords and consisting entirely of cover versions of hardcore punk songs. The idea for the EP was originally announced in 2009—before the release of the group's eleventh studio album Coaster—and was originally announced to be released exclusively as a 10" vinyl record.[3][4] The EP was also made available in 12" vinyl picture disc and 7" vinyl record formats.[5] The record has also been nicknamed "Hardcore" or "X" by fans.[citation needed]

Track listing

The EP features nine songs that were originally written by "rather obscure American hardcore bands" from the 1980s.[6] The album's packaging is completely blank and devoid of any official song titles or writing credits, thus the true track listing is unknown. NOFX frontman Fat Mike suggested in a 2009 interview that the album would include songs by Necros, Social Unrest, and Stretch Marks.[6][7] In 2011, Fat Mike said the album would include a song by Rebel Truth.[8] In a 2012 interview with Punknews.org, he revealed that one of the songs was not actually a cover, but had been written by the band.[9]
