12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (also known as 12 Rounds 2 and 12 Rounds: Reloaded) is a 2013 American action film directed by Roel Reiné, and produced by WWE Studios, and starring Randy Orton, Tom Stevens, Brian Markinson and Cindy Busby. It is a sequel to the 2009's 12 Rounds starring John Cena. Unlike the original, which saw a theatrical release. The film was released on direct-to-DVD and Blu-ray in the United States on June 4, 2013.
Plot
Nick Malloy (Randy Orton) and his wife Sarah Malloy (Cindy Busby) are heading after a movie, when an accident occurs. However, Nick is a Paramedic and rescues the victims: a young man and a couple. The wife dies shattering Nick but manages to save the boy.
One year later, Nick and his Paramedic colleague Jay Thompson (Colin Lawrence), are going to work when they get a call from a abandoned building site of a dying citizen. They operate on him, only to find the number 1 stitched on his stomach and a bomb, but Nick receives a call and he answers it. Nick finds himself playing a game called 12 Rounds by Patrick Heller (Brian Markinson) using Sarah as a pawn. The ambulance explodes, killing the citizen instantly, setting alight Jay, although he survived. Round 2, Nick to head to a building where a car waits for him. Round 3, Nick must find a clue in the car. He finds a matchbox with Palace Hotel written on it. Driving frantically to the hotel, he takes an alternative route. Heller threatens to detonate the bomb under the car. Nick reaches the Hotel with 2 seconds to spare.
Round 4 begins in the Hotel. Nick must find a room that will give him all the answers. Leading to the clues, Nick finds out it's room 44. Inside the room, a young boy, Tommy Weaver (Tom Stevens), is having fun with a prostitute named Amber (Chelsey Reist). Round 5 begins when he enters the room. Nick notices a tattoo on Tommy, the same as the calling card of the mastermind. However, Nick takes Tommy out of the room, on the way Nick gets in a fight with the security guard but escapes. Nick puts Tommy in the car next to his. Nick finds a black glove, inside it are some coordinates leading to the intersection of Grant and Sherwood Street. Nick proceeds to go there.
During the trip, Nick learns that Tommy has a parole anklet following DUI arrest. Heller gets a bit lenient and blocks the signal to the anklet. During the trip, they stops hallway because both Nick and Tommy can hear a cellphone in the boot. They both open the boot to find Tommy's lawyer Roberta Shaw (Rachel Hayward), dead. Round 6 they must go to Grant and Sherwood intersection. They find a telephone booth. Heller tells them a series of events that leads them there. Tommy finds out this is the street where he had an accident following his DUI arrest.
Meanwhile, Nick puts the pieces of the puzzle together, and finds out he was at the right place at the right time. The accident at the start of the film, Tommy was the young boy, the woman who died was Patrick's wife (Janene Carleton). However, Tommy breaks into a run, but Nick catches and steals a police car. They take an alternative route until they meet a dead end with police cars. They drive up a storey building. When they reach the top they find are cornered by Detective McKenzie (Venus Terzo), whose is solving a case involving the Governor.
The woman tells them to play his game to discover and his true intentions. Round 7 and 8 they must reach a beer factory. This is where Tommy's father, (Sebastian Spence), conducted his illegal activities. Tommy finds his father buried in sand. Nick drives a tractor to stop the overflowing of sand. Meanwhile, the cops take care of Round 9. Heller appears and shoots Tommy's father. Round 10 begins with Sarah, but Tommy uses a taser on Nick temporarily taking him out. Round 11 begins in front of a club called Karma. It turns out the boy who died in the ambulance worked here. Heller gives 2 glass bottles to Tommy containing water. One of them is poisoned. Tommy drinks one, presumably acts dead and laughs hysterically but Heller pours the contents of the other bottle, igniting it leaving Tommy to die. Later that night, Final Round, Heller tells Nick and Sarah there will be an accident at Grant and Sherwood Intersection. Nick and Sarah escaped before the car explodes. Nick and Sarah are inside the ambulance, Detective McKenzie tells Nick and Sarah to thank them for help.
