"Sorry to be Safe" is a one-page funny animal comic book gag story written, drawn, and lettered by Carl Barks. It was first published in black, red, and white on the inside front cover of Four Color #199 (October 1948). Other stories in the issue are the feature-length story Sheriff of Bullet Valley and two other gag stories: "Best Laid Plans" and "The Genuine Article".
Plot
Huey, Dewey, and Louie want to play baseball, but Donald Duck does not want them playing too close to houses. He does not want the boys breaking windows with their ball. The boys find a huge field (far from houses) and begin playing. A ball is hit out of the field, and strikes a construction cache of dynamite. Every window in town is broken with the ensuing explosion.
