World Future Council

The World Future Council is an intiative started by Jakob von Uexkull to create a body to counterblance the short termism of current dominant system and would speak for the future generations and long term thinking.

Vision

According to World Future Council official statement:

"In today's world, the short-term gain of a few has become more important than the long-term well-being of the world. It's this kind of short-sightedness that has helped the market economy hijack global values.

We need to hear from experts with a global point of view that comes from ethics, experience and wisdom.

group of thinkers from around the world are working to make this happen by creating the World Future Council, a new global institution that will speak out about the things that matter most to everyone."
