Sheiko Elementary, formerly known as Green Elementary or "Green School" teaches Kindergarten and grades 1 through 5 and is part of the West Bloomfield School District. Originally named after the Green family who owned the land before it was built, the school changed its name in 2011 in honor of the retirement of its long-time principal Kathleen Sheiko.[1]

The mascot of Sheiko Elementary is the Sharks. The mascot of the former Green Elementary was the Gators.
