Mehreen Raheel (Template:Lang-ur) (born 27 September 1982) is a Pakistani model, actor, managing director of her family company R vision and host who appears in Pakistani films and serials.[1]

She is best known for portraying the main leads in Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Dastaan, Mastana Mahi, Ashk and Zindagi Gulzar Hai. She made her film debut in 2011 Jawad Ahmad's Virsa for which she earned public recognition for playing glamorous role. In 2013, she will appear in Tamanna directed by a British director Steven Dean Moore.[2]

In addition to acting, Mehreen is also the ambassador of prominent brand Standard Chartered Fundraising Marathon.

Early life

She is the daughter of Actress and Social activist Seemi Raheel.[2] Her family consist of her mother Seemi Raheel, father Raheel and her brother Danyal Raheel who made his acting debut with ARY Digital serial Silvatein.

She studied at Lahore Grammar School and Lahore College of Arts and Sciences then she went to London for a diploma in Dancing, Drama, and Script writing.[2] married Mohammed munir on march, 2008in Lahore.

Career

Modeling

Raheel started her career as a Model when she was 8 years old. She did a couple of commercials when she was teenager.

She did many commercials including ICI, Head and Shoulders, Pantene, Lipton, Telenor, Ufone, PTCL, Sooper Biscuit.[2]

Film and television

Mehreen started her acting career with Ajnabee Rastay in which she portrayed a minor character. She then appeared in Gardish, 3 Bata 3, Kothi No. 156, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Dastaan, Mujhey Hai Hukum-e-Azan, Kabhi Aye Naa Judai, Mastana Mahi, Ashk and Adha Din Aur Puri Raat. She was also nominated for Best Actress at the Lux Style Awards for her role in Kabhi Aye Na Judaai.

From 2013 onwards Raheal played the role of Madiha in Drama Ashk and in another blockbuster serial Zindagi Gulzar Hai, she played Asmaara, which aired on Hum TV and the play received appreciation and high ratings all around the nation.

Raheel made her film debut in Jawad Ahmad's Virsa opposite Indian actor Arya Babbar. Her performance was highly appreciated throughout the film. The film proved to be a big box office success and critically praised. Her second film Tamanna directed by a British director Steven Dean Moore opposite Salman Shahid for which she earned public recognition for playing glamorous role. Her up-coming film is Freedom Sound which will be released in 2013.

She is currently seen in Hum TV serial Halki Si Khalish.

Mehreen is working for another serial called "Ghum-e-Dil" which is coming soon. In "Gham-e-Dil" her character's name is "Sana".

Humanitarian work

She travalled to India as an Ambassador for the Standard Chartered Fundraising Marathon for the Tsunami. She has worked in Thailand with young children and in raising money to fund education. She takes part in humanitarian activities in Pakistan.[2]
