Daisy Ridley (born October 3, 1992) is a British actress who is confirmed to play a lead role in Star Wars Episode VII.
Career
Ridley has appeared in Youngers, Silent Witness, Mr Selfridge, Blue Season, Scrawl and Casualty and will appear in The Inbetweeners Movie 2.[4][5][6] She played the lead in film three of Lifesaver,[7] an interactive film which was nominated for a BAFTA British Academy Award.[8]
In April 2014, it was announced that she will play one of the lead characters in Star Wars Episode VII.[4][5][9]
Personal
Ridley is the daughter of British journalist and activist Yvonne Ridley.[1][2][10] Her father is a former colonel in the Palestine Liberation Organization.[11] She has a younger sister, Kika-Rose, who works as a model and is signed to Models 1.[12]
