Sir Charles Blois, 1st Baronet (14 September 1657 – 9 April 1738) was a politician, a member of parliament for both Ipswich (May 1689 – 1695) and Dunwich (January 1700 and 1709). On 15 April 1686, he was created 1st Baronet Blois, of Grundisburgh and Cockfield Hall. Blois was the son of Sir William Blois. With first wife Mary Kemp, whom he wed on 11 May 1680, he fathered Robert Blois, William Blois, and Sir Charles Blois, 3rd Baronet. He fathered an additional three on second wife Anne Hawtrey, whom he wed around April 18 in 1694: John Blois[disambiguation needed], Reverend Sir Ralph Blois, 4th Baronet and Anne Blois.[1]
