Marcus Darrell Williams (born December 3 1985 in Los Angeles, California) is a former college basketball player for the University of Connecticut. He initially declared for the 2006 NBA Draft after his sophomore year [1], but decided a few days later to remain for at least one more season in college [2]. Williams was selected 22nd in the 2006 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets.
Controversy
He became the center of controversy in December 2005 when he was charged with trying to sell ten stolen laptop computers taken from dormitory rooms on the university campus.
Personal
He has a younger sister, Marchelle, an aspiring writer and artist. His parents are Kelly & Michelle Williams.
