Moves to delete the Spoofhound and Maryville High School

If you want to see a dispiriting course of wiki vindictiveness. See the discussions to delete the Spoofhound and Maryville High School. They will probably both be deleted unless something is said. Americasroof 06:18, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NWMSUThis user taught or was a student at Northwest Missouri State University.

You can get the template for the school to put on your user page at: Template:User NWMSU

Paste this on your user page: {{User NWMSU}}

If you want to add yourself to this category, but don't want the userbox, insert the following anywhere on your user page. Copy and paste the code as is; do not change PAGENAME. [[Category:Wikipedians by alma mater: Northwest Missouri State University|{{subst:PAGENAME}}]] If you want to put the userbox on a page without adding it to this category, use the following code: {{User NWMSU|nocat=true}}

Missouri State Arboretum

I removed an old unreferenced claim about the campus being the "official" Missouri State Arboretum, the reference provided earlier today was a bill brought before the Missouri Congress that did not pass. There is certainly something by that name at Northwest, but needs cite for the official claim. Grey Wanderer (talk) 23:05, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't catch it earlier. Here's the link. http://www.nwmissouri.edu/ARBORETUM/index.HTM

File:Nwmsu-alumni.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

An image used in this article, File:Nwmsu-alumni.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 18 November 2011

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

Very clearly a promotional piece

Nice town but good grief, how much promotional material does it take to get entries deleted? This is what Wikipedia is Infamous for.Malangthon (talk) 23:05, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Malangthon, what specific parts/examples do you take issue with? The entry itself meets WP:Notability so I don't think the article is going anywhere soon. However, if there are problems those can be improved upon. Grey Wanderer (talk) 06:13, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The laptop program isn't lore, but I don't know where to put it... Tristyn 23:17, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
